Ellers Beck, Marske, Coast to Coast
The beck springs from just below Marrick Moor close to Stellings Farm, from a spring aptly named Stelling Spring. Where it is joined by another spring issuing from the side of Stelling Road near to Lower Stelling Farm it becomes the Dales Beck. Running around the the foot of Cock How, below Hardraw Scar and Ellers Plantation, having been joined by several more springs it takes on the name of Ellers Beck. It flows beside Ellers Farm and after only a short distance its name changes again to North Gill and as it nears Oxque Bridge it changes to the Oxque Gill, spilling into the River Swale at the Bridge.
